My Sky Princess Cruise Experience: A Seacation Adventure

One of the best things about cruising is the chance to explore the world in style, waking up in a new destination each day. However, some of my best memories were made on board, especially during sea days filled with amazing entertainment and dining experiences.

I had the pleasure of setting sail on the Sky Princess for a unique Summer Seacation experience—think of it as a staycation, but at sea! For five days, I cruised along the English Channel, indulging in everything the Sky Princess has to offer during those blissful sea days.

The Sky Princess now sails to stunning destinations like the Caribbean, Alaska, and the Mediterranean, with exciting itineraries planned for 2025. If you’re curious about the cruise life or itching to book your next adventure, read on for my detailed review of the Sky Princess and what to expect onboard.

Choosing the right cabin on the Sky Princess can be a tough decision. With options ranging from interior cabins to mini-suites and suites, it ultimately comes down to your budget and trip context. If you’re looking to party in the Mediterranean, an affordable interior cabin is more than suitable, especially if you plan to spend most of your time exploring.

However, for special occasions like honeymoons or anniversaries, upgrading to a balcony cabin is worth it for the Ultimate Balcony Experience.

Upon checking into my Sky Princess Mini-Suite, I was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness. The room was larger than my last three London rental bedrooms combined! I was greeted with a glass of bubbly and chocolate-covered strawberries—such a lovely touch.

My mini-suite, at 323 sq. ft., featured a bathtub, a private balcony, a separate lounge area, two flat-panel TVs, and a walk-in wardrobe. For those wanting to elevate their experience, the 1,873 sq. ft. Sky Suite offers a 270-degree ocean view from a wrap-around deck, complete with all the luxury amenities.

Tip:If you’re prone to seasickness, consider booking a stateroom midship, where there’s less movement during rough waves.

Dining: Sky Princess Restaurants

Prepare to indulge! You’ll want to pack stretchy jeans for what is likely the best culinary experience of your life. The dining options on the Sky Princess are abundant and diverse, ranging from buffet offerings to complimentary three-course à la carte dining. Enjoy authentic Neapolitan pizzas at Alfredo’s Pizzeria, global cuisines at the World Fresh Marketplace, and an endless selection of pastries, burgers, tacos, and soft-serve ice cream.

If you’re celebrating something special, the Ultimate Balcony Breakfast is a must-try. For $45 per couple, you’ll be treated to a luxurious breakfast on your private balcony, complete with a bottle of champagne. It’s perfect for newlyweds, anniversaries, or even proposals!

The crew is accommodating with dietary needs, offering plenty of gluten-free and vegan options. While halal meat may not be available, the delicious seafood and vegetarian dishes ensure you won’t be short on choices.
