A Dreamy Getaway at Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort

After a long journey from London, I was eager to soak up the sun on the stunning Sunshine Coast of Australia. My destination: Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort, ideally located on Hastings Street, just a stone’s throw from the beach. This 5-star retreat was the perfect way to kick off my time back in Australia.

As I arrived at the resort, I was warmly greeted by the friendly staff, their delightful Australian accents instantly making me feel at home. With the concierge handling my bags, I enjoyed a refreshing iced tea in the lobby before heading up to my suite. Opening the door to my spacious room revealed a lovely balcony overlooking the pool, and I was greeted by a playful lorikeet—just the Australian welcome I needed.

The suite’s retro 1960s decor featured art inspired by local culture and nature. A large king-sized bed awaited, along with a 42-inch LCD TV and a spotless bathroom complete with a luxurious spa bath. To top it off, a chilled bottle of Moët and an artisan charcuterie board with local cheeses, meats, and fruits awaited me—perfect for a relaxing night in.

After unpacking, I made my way to the on-site Riviera Bar & Lounge. The ambiance was inviting, and the knowledgeable bartenders guided me through an impressive cocktail menu. During my Easter stay, I couldn’t resist trying their festive cocktails: the Easter Martini, complete with a chocolate egg, and the Easter Whiskey Sour, featuring hot cross bun syrup. Both were delightful!

Alongside these creative cocktails, I enjoyed light bar snacks, including fresh local oysters, steak frites, and saffron & lemon croquettes. The chill atmosphere, complemented by live music reminiscent of Jack Johnson, made for a truly memorable evening. When I returned to my room, a lovely surprise awaited me—a handmade chocolate bar resting on my pillow. It’s thoughtful touches like this that elevate the Sofitel experience.

Breakfast at the resort was served at Noosa Beach House, where the staff greeted me with warmth and promptly took my coffee order. The buffet was a feast for the senses: gourmet baked goods, fresh juices, and an on-hand chef ready to whip up anything to order, including crepes and omelettes. There was even a dedicated gluten-free station—truly something for everyone!

My stay at Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort was more than just a getaway; it was a luxurious experience filled with comfort, delicious food, and warm hospitality. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to reconnect with Australia and recharge by the beach.
